Debate will continue about whether it's okay to use celecoxib (Celebrex, etc) in patients at high cardiovascular risk.

All NSAIDs have a warning about CV risk. But we're used to thinking that COX-2 inhibitors are riskier...especially since rofecoxib (Vioxx) was withdrawn due to an increased risk of heart attacks and strokes.

But celecoxib's CV risk may not be higher than other NSAIDs.
